# MOTION_OFF

> A declared motion departed or arrived outside the offset limit of the word it was promised to.

A declared motion departed or arrived outside the offset limit of the word it was promised to.

This finding is an error, and DeckTalk judges it itself. `decktalk verify` reports it when it measures the finished film and reads back each recording log.
Pass `--allow MOTION_OFF` to carry on past it, and `--fail-on` to choose which severity fails a run.

The settings that move this verdict are `verify.cue_offset_max_ms`, `verify.motion_floor_percent`.

## What to do

Read the offset in the message, and check the cue's phrase with `decktalk words` as you would for `CUE_OFF`.
