A declared motion departed or arrived outside the offset limit of the word it was promised to. This finding is an error, and DeckTalk judges it itself. decktalk verify reports it when it measures the finished film and reads back each recording log. Pass --allow MOTION_OFF to carry on past it, and --fail-on to choose which severity fails a run. The settings that move this verdict are verify.cue_offset_max_ms, verify.motion_floor_percent.

Read the offset in the message, and check the cue’s phrase with decktalk words as you would for CUE_OFF. Troubleshooting says more under A motion verify cannot measure.
